I particularly enjoy painting people and animals as my subject matter, because the challenge for me, is to capture the character and mood of the subject through composition, colour and the textural quality of the paint itself. Every project is unique and therefore I employ a range of techniques, tools and styles until I feel satisfied that I have portrayed the essence of the subject. For commissioned personal work I can work from a favourite photograph if required.
I also paint images of buildings, design murals for large and small scale public projects and create illustrations for books and posters and work with textiles. Please scroll through my portfolio of work.
For paintings I usually work in acrylics and always on quality stretched canvas to customers specifications.
