b. 27.5.1950. Memphis, Tennessee, USA.
One of the most interesting vocalists in jazz today. Effective both as an improviser and a ballad singer. Dee Dee has recorded with great jazz musicians including Sonny Rollins, Dizzie Gillespie and Dexter Gordon.
Considered by many as one of the top five jazz singers in the world.
